The Torah teaches us that the Hebrew word for Blessing is Baruch (pronounced Bah-Rooch). We see all through the Bible blessings and curses and we desire and pray for blessings all the time over our families, our business, and others. But what does it mean?
The root of the word Baruch is Berech and Berech is the Hebrew word for "knee". What does your knee have to do with blessing? Why would that matter?
In addition the word Baruch starts with the letter "Bet" in Hebrew which is the first letter of the Bible in Genesis 1:1. It has a special meaning and purpose. Why start with the letter B and not the letter A? That would make more sense wouldn't it?
In Hebrew every letter is a letter. Every letter also has a name. For example as I stated above the letter B in Hebrew is actually the word "Bet". The word Bet is what forms the word "Beit" (pronounced Bay-eet) which is the Hebrew word for House.
All of this is woven together to teach us the master plan the Creator has for each of us. The letter B, The House, The Knee it all connects to teach us how we should live, function, and rule as Kings and Queens.
